Ingredients
Scale
Garnish
- 2 tablespoons dried unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- 5–8 cranberries
Cocktail
- 1 ounce lime juice (from about 1 fresh lime)
- 1 ounce cream of coconut (shake well before using)
- ½ ounce Cointreau (or other triple sec liqueur)
- 2 ounces tequila blanco
- 1 bar spoon vanilla vodka (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Garnish: Cut a lime in half and use it to wet the rim of your serving glass. If fresh lime is unavailable, you can substitute with water or some cream of coconut syrup. Dip the wetted rim into the shredded coconut, rotating the glass so the rim is evenly coated. Set the glass aside.
- Set Aside Garnishes: Rinse and dry a fresh rosemary sprig and 5 to 8 cranberries carefully. Keep them ready to garnish the cocktail once it is prepared.
- Mix Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine lime juice, shaken cream of coconut, Cointreau, tequila blanco, and the optional vanilla vodka. Fill the shaker with ice, securely seal it, and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds to thoroughly mix and chill the ingredients.
- Serve Cocktail: Fill the prepared serving glass with fresh ice. Strain the mixed and chilled cocktail from the shaker into the glass to ensure a smooth texture without ice shards.
- Add Garnishes: Drop the cranberries into the glass and gently tap the rosemary sprig against your palm to release its aromatic oils before adding it as a garnish on top. Serve immediately to enjoy the full flavor and festive aroma.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila, Cointreau, and vanilla vodka, then increase cream of coconut and lime juice proportionally.
- Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor balance and brightness.
- Shaking the cream of coconut well before measuring ensures smooth consistency without settling.
- The rosemary garnish adds a festive aroma; if unavailable, substitute with a sprig of mint or omit.
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of cream of coconut to taste.
