Description

These No-Bake Snowman Truffles are a delightful and festive treat perfect for holiday gatherings. Made with a creamy mixture of crushed chocolate wafer cookies, cream cheese, and white chocolate chips, then dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with candy to look like adorable snowmen. Easy to make and no baking required, these sweet bites are sure to impress kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Mixture

  • 1 cup chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for coating)

Decorations

  • 2 candy eyes (per truffle)
  • 1 small orange candy (for the nose, per truffle)
  • 1 piece of black licorice (for the mouth, per truffle)
  • 1 mini candy cane (for the scarf, per truffle)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the truffle mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies, softened cream cheese, white chocolate chips, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Shape the truffles: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to keep them from sticking.
  3. Melt the coating chocolate: Melt the chocolate chips either in the microwave in short bursts, stirring between intervals, or in a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Coat the truffles: Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is completely coated. Then, place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet to set and harden.
  5. Decorate the snowmen: Once the chocolate coating is firm, use candy eyes for the eyes, a small orange candy for the nose, a piece of black licorice to create the mouth, and place a mini candy cane as a scarf around each truffle to complete the snowman look.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • You can substitute candy decorations with other small candies or edible markers if desired.
  • Store the truffles in the refrigerator to keep their shape and freshness.
  • If the melted chocolate thickens, gently reheat it to restore the silky consistency.
  • These truffles make great homemade holiday gifts when packaged in a decorative box.
