Description

A quick and flavorful Korean Beef Noodles recipe that combines tender beef sirloin with aromatic garlic, ginger, and fresh vegetables, all tossed together with soy sauce and sesame oil for a comforting and delicious meal ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 200g beef sirloin, sliced
  • 150g noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to be added later in the stir-fry.
  2. Heat Sesame Oil: In a pan over medium heat, warm the sesame oil until hot but not smoking, preparing it for sautéing the aromatics.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic, ginger, and sliced onion to the pan. Stir and cook until fragrant and the onions become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Cook Beef: Add the sliced beef sirloin to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  5. Add Bell Pepper and Soy Sauce: Incorporate the sliced bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender. Pour in the soy sauce and mix well to coat all ingredients evenly.
  6. Toss Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together thoroughly so the noodles absorb the flavors of the beef and vegetables.
  7. Season and Garnish: Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onions before serving for a fresh finish.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add some crushed red pepper flakes during the sauté step.
  • Use fresh noodles or rice noodles if preferred for a different texture.
  • Beef sirloin can be substituted with flank steak or even chicken for variations.
  • To make it gluten-free, use tamari in place of soy sauce.
