Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 3 ounce box Strawberry Jell-O gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- ½ cup vodka
- 12 gummy eyeball candies
Instructions
- Dissolve Gelatin: In a large bowl with a pour spout, add the strawberry gelatin and boiling water. Whisk thoroughly until all the gelatin has completely dissolved to ensure a smooth mixture.
- Add Liquids: Whisk in the cold water and vodka into the gelatin mixture until fully combined.
- Pour into Cups: Arrange 12 two-ounce jello shot cups on a rimmed tray to catch any spills. Carefully pour the strawberry jello mixture into each cup, filling just up to the fill line and leaving about â…› inch space from the top rim.
- Initial Chill and Add Eyeballs: Refrigerate the tray of jello shots for 1 to 1 ½ hours until they are partially set but still slightly tacky. Then, place one gummy eyeball candy on top of each shot.
- Final Chill: Return the tray to the refrigerator for an additional 1 ½ hours up to overnight, to allow the jello shots to set completely and firm up fully.
- Serve or Store: Once set, place lids on each cup if available and stack them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use a rimmed tray when transferring the cups to prevent spills and make handling easier.
- For best results, avoid disturbing the shots while they partially set before adding the gummy eyeballs.
- These shots are best served chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator with lids on for up to 2 days.
- Substitute vodka with any clear spirit if preferred, adjusting alcohol content accordingly.
