Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients and Equipment: Soften the butter to room temperature to ensure easy mixing. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats to prevent sticking.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sifted powdered sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
- Pipe the Cookies: Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star or round tip. Pipe desired shapes such as circles, pretzels, or figure-eights onto the lined baking sheets. Chill the piped dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to help maintain shape during baking.
- Bake the Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheets.
