Description

This Creamy Seafood Spinach Dip is a luscious blend of cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, tender cooked shrimp and crab meat, and nutritious spinach. Perfectly seasoned with garlic and onion powder, then baked until bubbly and golden, it’s a delicious appetizer to serve warm with tortilla chips or crackers.

Ingredients

Scale

Dairy & Creamy Bases

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seafood

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, flaked

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 1 cup spinach, cooked and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the dip.
  2. Combine creamy ingredients. In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and well incorporated.
  3. Add seafood and spinach. Fold in the chopped cooked shrimp, flaked crab meat, and cooked chopped spinach to the creamy mixture.
  4. Season the dip. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper to your taste, ensuring even seasoning throughout.
  5. Transfer to baking dish. Pour the combined mixture into a baking dish, spreading it out evenly for uniform baking.
  6. Bake. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the top turns golden brown.
  7. Serve hot. Remove from the oven and serve the dip warm with tortilla chips or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh spinach if preferred, just be sure to cook and drain it well to avoid excess moisture.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking for convenience.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chopped jalapeños.
  • Use fresh seafood or leftover cooked seafood to enhance flavor and texture.
  • Serve immediately after baking for the best creamy texture and taste.
