- 1 cup whole milk cottage cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
Vegetables & Proteins (up to 1 cup total)
- Bell peppers (chopped)
- Spinach (chopped)
- Mushrooms (sliced)
- Bacon (cooked and chopped)
- Ham (diced)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the quiche evenly.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a 9-inch baking dish with oil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine the eggs, whole milk cottage cheese, salt, and black pepper. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy, ensuring a uniform texture.
- Add Cheese and Mix-ins: Pour the blended mixture into a bowl and stir in the grated cheese along with your choice of up to 1 cup of chopped vegetables and proteins such as bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, bacon, or ham. Mix thoroughly to distribute all ingredients evenly.
- Pour Into Dish: Pour the combined mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the center is firm and set, and the edges are golden brown, indicating it’s fully cooked.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. This makes it easier to slice and enhances the flavors before serving.
