Description

Classic and hearty Club Sandwiches layered with turkey, ham, bacon, cheese, fresh tomato, and romaine lettuce, spread with a flavorful mayo and mustard mix, perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Bread & Spread

  • 6 slices good-quality bread
  • Mayo (to taste)
  • Mustard (to taste)

Meats & Cheese

  • 1/2 pound deli turkey, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 slices Colby-Jack cheese

Produce

  • 4 slices tomato
  • Romaine lettuce, enough for layering

Instructions

  1. Toast the Bread: Toast the 6 slices of bread in a toaster until they are golden brown. Let them cool completely before assembling the sandwiches to prevent sogginess.
  2. Assemble First Layer: Take one slice of toasted bread. Spread a generous amount of mayo and mustard mixture on top, adjusting amount to your liking. Place 3 slices of turkey evenly over the spread, then layer fresh romaine lettuce leaves followed by 2 slices of cooked bacon.
  3. Add Second Layer: Place a second slice of toasted bread over the bacon. Spread this bread slice lightly with mayo and mustard mix. Next, add 3 slices of ham, one slice of Colby-Jack cheese, 2 slices of tomato, and some more romaine lettuce on top.
  4. Top and Press: Finish by placing the last piece of toasted bread on top. Gently press down on the sandwich to help all ingredients bind together for easier handling and eating.
  5. Repeat and Serve: Repeat the exact layering process with the remaining ingredients and 3 slices of bread to create the second sandwich. Cut each sandwich into 4 triangular pieces and serve immediately for best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use toasted bread fully cooled to avoid sogginess in the sandwich.
  • Feel free to customize the sandwich with your choice of cheeses or add avocado for extra creaminess.
  • For easier eating, secure each sandwich quarter with toothpicks.
  • Bacon can be replaced with turkey bacon or omitted for a lighter version.
  • This sandwich can be made ahead by wrapping tightly and storing in the fridge for up to 4 hours.
