Ingredients
Scale
Fries
- 4 large russet potatoes (or frozen fries)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup ranch dressing
Garnish
- Chopped green onions or parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Potatoes: If using fresh potatoes, wash and cut them into fries. Toss the fries in olive oil, salt, and pepper to coat evenly.
- Bake Fries: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the baking time.
- Prepare Chicken: While the fries bake, heat the cooked chicken in a pan if needed, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook Bacon: Cook the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble once cooled.
- Assemble Fries: Remove fries from the oven and evenly layer the cooked chicken, then crumbled bacon, and finally sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Melt Cheese: Return the loaded fries to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Drizzle Ranch: Once out of the oven, drizzle the ranch dressing over the fries evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Optionally sprinkle chopped green onions or parsley on top for added color and flavor. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For a quicker option, use frozen fries and follow package baking instructions.
- Adjust seasoning of chicken and fries to taste before assembling.
- Use sharp cheddar cheese for richer flavor and better melting.
- Garnishing with fresh herbs adds a nice fresh contrast but is optional.
- Ensure bacon is well-drained on paper towels to avoid soggy fries.
