Description

Delightful Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip Bites made with a creamy blend of cheeses, fresh spinach, and artichoke hearts, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for parties or as a savory snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Dairy & Cheese

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Vegetables

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

Spices & Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Pastry

  • 1 package of puff pastry, thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F to ensure it reaches the ideal temperature for baking the dip bites evenly.
  2. Mix Cheeses: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and well blended.
  3. Add Vegetables and Seasoning: Stir in the chopped fresh spinach, drained and chopped artichoke hearts, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute all ingredients.
  4. Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into small squares, approximately 2-3 inches each.
  5. Fill Pastry Squares: Place a spoonful of the cheese and vegetable mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  6. Fold and Seal: Fold the pastry over the filling to create bite-sized pockets and firmly seal the edges by pressing them together to prevent filling leakage during baking.
  7. Bake the Bites: Arrange the filled pastry bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and serve the dip bites warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch, for a delicious appetizer.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the cream cheese is softened before mixing to achieve a smooth filling.
  • Feel free to substitute fresh spinach with frozen spinach, just be sure to thaw and drain it well.
  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • These bites can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Serve with your choice of dipping sauce like marinara, ranch, or a garlic aioli.
