Description

This cheesy garlic chicken wrap is a quick and delicious meal featuring seasoned, sautéed chicken combined with a creamy garlic sauce and melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, all wrapped in warm flour tortillas and toasted to perfection in a skillet.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Seasoning

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garlic Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Cheese and Wraps

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Toss the diced chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until the pieces are evenly coated.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the seasoned chicken for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is cooked through and lightly browned.
  3. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and adjust seasoning as needed to your taste.
  4. Assemble Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas and spread a generous layer of the garlic sauce over each one. Add the cooked chicken on top, then sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Fold the tortillas tightly to enclose the filling.
  5. Cook Wraps: Place the folded wraps back into the skillet over medium heat. Toast each side for 2 to 3 minutes until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese inside has melted.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the chicken seasoning.
  • You can substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lighter sauce.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if preferred.
  • Serve with a side of fresh salad or salsa for added freshness.
  • Make sure the skillet is not too hot to avoid burning the tortillas before the cheese melts.
