Ingredients
Scale
Lasagna Noodles
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
Chicken and Sauce
- 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup Buffalo wing sauce (adjust for spice level)
- Extra Buffalo sauce (optional, for garnish)
Cheese Mixtures
- 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sauces and Garnish
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- ½ cup ranch dressing
- 1 tbsp milk (optional, to thin ranch dressing)
- Green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a medium bowl, toss the shredded cooked chicken with Buffalo wing sauce until evenly coated. Set this spicy chicken mixture aside.
- Prepare the Ricotta Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Assemble the Lasagna: Begin assembling by placing 3 cooked lasagna noodles on the bottom of the baking dish. Spread a third of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then add a third of the Buffalo chicken on top. Sprinkle some mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the chicken, then drizzle with Alfredo sauce. Repeat this layering process two more times, ending with a final layer of noodles, Alfredo sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top.
- Bake the Lasagna: Cover the assembled lasagna with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Add Ranch Drizzle and Garnish: Remove the lasagna from the oven and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes. Thin the ranch dressing with milk if desired, then drizzle it evenly over the lasagna. Garnish with chopped green onions and extra Buffalo sauce if you like extra spice.
- Serve: Slice the lasagna and serve hot. This dish pairs wonderfully with a crisp green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
Notes
- You can adjust the spiciness by altering the amount of Buffalo wing sauce used in the chicken mixture.
- If you prefer a milder ranch drizzle, thin it with milk before drizzling over the lasagna.
- Make sure to let the lasagna rest before slicing; this helps it set and keeps the layers intact.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
