Ingredients
Scale
Dumplings
- 14-20 Frozen Dumplings
Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Red Curry Paste
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil (or oil of choice)
- 1 (14-ounce) can Coconut Milk
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Ginger, minced
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons Honey (or real maple syrup)
Garnishes and Optional
- Cilantro, for garnish
- 2 Green Onions, sliced
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons Chili Crunch
- Sesame Seeds
- Baby Spinach (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium baking dish or an ovenproof skillet to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the coconut milk, red curry paste, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, fresh minced ginger, and garlic cloves. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as desired—add more soy sauce for saltiness, rice vinegar for brightness, or curry paste for extra spice.
- Arrange Dumplings: Place the frozen dumplings in a single layer in the prepared baking dish, ensuring they are evenly spaced for uniform cooking.
- Add Sauce and Cover: Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the dumplings, making sure they are mostly covered. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and the dumplings are tender and cooked through.
- Garnish and Serve: If using baby spinach, immediately top the dumplings with fresh spinach after baking so it wilts slightly from the heat. Garnish generously with fresh cilantro, sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and chili crunch for added flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level by varying the amount of red curry paste and chili crunch.
- Using an ovenproof skillet allows you to bake and serve in the same dish.
- For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey and ensure dumplings are vegan-friendly.
- Frozen dumplings do not require thawing—cook directly from frozen for best texture.
- Adding baby spinach is optional but adds a fresh, green element that complements the rich curry sauce.
