Description

This 30-Minute Cheeseburger Flatbreads recipe offers a quick and delicious way to enjoy all the classic flavors of a cheeseburger on a crispy flatbread base. Perfect for busy weeknights, this meal combines seasoned ground beef, tangy ketchup and mustard, melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and fresh toppings like red onion and dill pickles, all baked to bubbly perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Flatbreads

  • 2 store-bought flatbreads or naan

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauces

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Cheeses

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles
  • Optional sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the flatbreads.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook the beef until fully browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess grease once done.
  3. Mix Sauces: Stir together the ketchup and yellow mustard in a small bowl until well combined.
  4. Assemble Flatbreads: Place the flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet and spread the ketchup and mustard mixture evenly over each flatbread. Sprinkle the cooked ground beef evenly over the sauces, and top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Bake Flatbreads: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
  6. Add Fresh Toppings and Serve: Remove the flatbreads from the oven and immediately sprinkle diced red onion and dill pickles over the top. Add sesame seeds if desired for extra crunch and flavor. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked bacon crumbles before baking.
  • Swap cheddar for American cheese for a classic cheeseburger taste.
  • Serve with shredded lettuce and a drizzle of burger sauce for a fun twist.
